NAIFA – MANSFIELD

President, Elie Harriett:

Our first meeting of the new  year was successful. We recapped the NAIFA Career Conference from Washington DC and handed out the year’s membership directories. October will be a busy time for us, with our regular meeting on October 14th and Super CE day on the 19th. Please mark your calendars and be sure to join us on the second Friday of each month for a great lunch and our featured educational speaker.  This month will be Don Hoover on Estate Planning Updates.

Thanks to the efforts of Greg Boyce, we got the Mayor of Mansfield to declare September as Life Insurance Awareness Month.  We also have some exciting projects in the works for later in the year.  October is Back  to the PAC month.  I encourage any of you that have not yet contributed to the IFAPAC to consider contributing this month.  There has never been a more important time to contribute to the lobbying efforts that keep you in business.

I would like to thank all the officers and the board for getting us started off on the right foot for a successful year.

President Elect, Carl Ferguson:

MEMBERSHIP, MEMBERSHIP:  We all should be recruiting new members for our local association.  I have applications and information that you all can

have for your recruiting efforts.  We want to bring in new, as well as former members back into NAIFA-Mansfield. We did get three transfers this past month; so we welcome them to our association.  As we have learned at certain times in our lives, there is strength in numbers.  So, as a partnership in NAIFA, they speak loudly on our behalf, as well as for the clients we sell our insurance products to.  That’s one of the best reasons that I know of why we should stand united, because divided, we are weak!  So, ask the next agent you see or meet, “Are you a member of NAIFA?”  The benefits of belonging are many.
